Conflict of Interest Claims Follow Feinstein

Senator Dianne Feinstein has resigned as chair of the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee, where she served from 2001 to 2005.

California’s Metroactive newspaper claims she resigned after it revealed that she awarded billions of dollars in construction projects to two defense contractors owned by her husband, Richard C. Blum.

Feinstein has profited directly from large investments in the companies, the newspaper reports, and did not recuse herself from discussions of company contract bids despite being warned by a top legal adviser of possible conflicts of interest.

  1. This is the story that the San Diego Tribune & LA Times apparently refuse to cover. Hmmmmmmmm

  2. Ah yes, the consummate democrat scandal. One would think, yet a through web search is required to even find a whiff of this story anywhere other than a few blogs. Rush has called it a bigger scandal than William Jefferson yet it is a story that is going nowhere.

To give this story legs we have to keep it on every radio talk show, email all your friends these links, and call your congressman. Or it will be exactly like Sandy the burglar and Freezer Jefferson, another democrat crook gets away scott-free.

  3. you are so right gene sturlin…this is SUCH a bigger scandal than going to war (IRAQ) on false pretenses and ginned up information that has killed tens of thousands of innocent human beings and has weakened our standing in the world…and quite bigger than a justice department official having to plead the 5th…and quite more important than the attorney general lying to the american people…you people are such dopes…but i encourage you to keep on listening to rush. hannity, etc….it worked so well for you in ’06…

did i mention abu grahib? how about Katrina? Walter Reed?
Rove’s politization of the justice department? need i go on…i got more!

  4. Mr. Public,

Each of your rants can easily be debunked and have ad litem, so be it, I have neither the time nor the will to make you a better American.

As a rabid anti war dem Your apathy towards a war profiteer in your ranks is one thing but to turn a blind eye to her crimes against the American people simply because she is a dem speaks at a harping, screeching volume we on the side of America are unwilling to listen to anymore.

This witch needs burned at the stake of public disgrace, but as a dem she is fireproof? By the way Mr. Public that’s a question.

  5. I agree she should be burned at the stake, right along side George W Bush and Mr. Haliburton himself, Dick Cheney! And the sooner the better for the American Constiution!!!!
