Anti-Gay Russian Churches Growing in U.S.

The beating death of a gay man by a group of Russian-speaking men in Sacramento this summer highlighted the growing trend of anti-gay extremists in western U.S. states that hail from Slavic countries.

These men, second- or third-generation immigrants from Russia and other parts of the former Soviet Union, are part of an international evangelical Christian movement known as the Watchmen of the Walls.

The right-wing group has churches in Sacramento, Seattle and Portland that organize virulently anti-gay marches. Gay activists are routinely harassed during demonstrations, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

  1. Wow! Obviously these people are not Christian.
But according to Christian doctrine, GOD will smite them harder then we can imagine, so it is for them who we must pray and ask for forgiveness, as their punishment may be incredibly horrible beyond belief. …That is if you are Christian…i think hate crimes should be punished at Guantanamo Bay..water board those bastards…their terorrists!!!

  2. Wow,
I belive someone actually hears what this people are saying. You know what, try to promote gay education in kindergarden and I bet you more unhappy people will be on the streets of Sacramento.
And please this is A M E R I C A everyone can say what they think, organize marches and voice their opinion. If someone violates let them answer to the law of this land.
